Lets see your birth year set

    I thought it would be a cool idea to start a thread that showed your birth year set. I know many of you collect them!

    My set 1944 yep I'm an old guy all PCGS Birth Year set 001a.jpg Birth Year set 002a.jpg Some day I'll do better photos and update the 1944 Dime to MS66FB like the other 2

    Just for info these are all PCGS graded and the set was number one in the registry for 1944 mint sets during 2009 and 2010.

    You might not believe me but, I use a Sony Cybershot DSC-HX10v. this little camera can do a lot.

    My birthyear set comprises a lot of coins.
    All the Mints had business strikes.
    And the there was a more than full proof set; two varieties of the halves (naturally the most expensive).
    Total of 21 coins.
    All -65 or -66.
    Fortunately no dollar coins.


    The year?
    1941
    I can't remember if I creates an NGC Registry Set or not.
    If so I'll try and post a link.

    Proofs are noted for being hard to image well.
    An axial lighting system is oftem recommended.
    But most people understandingly don't want to go to that expense.

    You did a good job.
