Got these guys out of a partial mint set. Going to send the pair in to NGC.

Is it the packaging that caused #1?

 

What is it about the second coin that indicates slabbing?

 

These are 2 coins. The top picture is 2 different coins. The bottom picture is their other sides.

I know they are genuine, but what would you do if NGC said otherwise, resubmit, dip? etc.

I agree the first coin is very pretty and original Is the second coins toning really anything to write home about? Or are you sending it in just for the grade?

 

The coins are up/down, not right/left (see post above from Matt)... so the two in the top picture are the two different coins, not OBV/REV of the same coin.

 

Oh, too bad. I never cared much for one sided toning. I always preferred two sided envelope toning. Still, they are pretty. Would the TPG mount the one with the pretty reverse reverse side up, since it is the reason the coin would have extra value?

 

Probably on request, and then they'd screw it up.

Both are really nice. Those colors bring really nice prices. NGC won't question them. NT all the way.
