As promised, here is the Dahomey (Benin) 1,000 Franc coin in an NGC PF67 holder. NGC has it mounted so the date & denomination face forward. You need to flip over the slab to view the Somba Woman (Femme Somba).
grandpa we have to go by ur tastes now in nude women? that doesnt sound appealing and what is this fertility god coin? going back to your adama nd eve days
I have a nice coin photo depicting the obverse & reverse of an Ecuatorial Guinea 1970 100 Pesetas. (That is how Equatorial is spelled on the coin). It is a proof coin where the obverse with date & denomination has some environmental damage. The reverse depicts a reclining naked lady. It is the size of a silver dollar & made of silver.
Well, the country name is in Spanish, so you see "Guinea Ecuatorial" instead of "Equatorial Guinea". The lady is the "maja desnuda" (which is Spanish for naked young woman). That painting, by Francisco Goya, can be seen at the Prado Museum in Madrid, along with the "maja vestida", the clothed counterpart so to say. That series of 1970 "coins" was somewhat odd in my opinion: Pope John XXIII, Lincoln, Lenin, Dürer's praying hands ... hello? Christian
