Death of the dollar bill

    Nobody from the US Mint is going to call a local bank president and discuss the future of the dollar. The story doesn't sound credible to me.

    That said, I believe [without looking it up] that the Federal Reserve purchases dollar bills from the US Treasury at the cost of production, but they purchase coinage at face value. Therefore, it makes sense for them to stop production of paper dollars from a budget standpoint.

    I don't believe it. Just something else the "north american union" tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists can waste time talking about. Not gonna happen. Not now, not ever. Not even a concern to anyone with 3 brain cells still working.
