Beautiful...and makes me realize that a set of classic gold commemoratives is easier to complete than I thought.

In terms of the amount of coins though, it still is pretty expensive to complete.

How much would a set like that sell for? I would love to have something like that.

MS60 bid is around $9,500. As I get them ready for grading I'll take pics.

Spectacular! I would have bought it too. The $2.5 Pan Pac is really sweet. Any rub on it? That could be a $5k commem, easily. What a cool set.

Are you going to conserve the Grant to deal with the copper spotting before getting it graded?

    Gorgeous set !

As for conserving the Grant, I sure wouldn't. Too many collectors prefer the originality those specs of red confirm. And the luster is bound to be subdued at least somewhat by any conservation efforts. I'd leave it alone.

I would also strongly consider having that set slabbed in a multi-coin holder ;)

Gorgeous set. I think the Pan-Pac $2.5 is one of the prettiest U.S coins ever minted. I would rank it close to the $20 St. Gaudens in terms of a jaw dropping design.

I'm getting the ones that will grade ready for NGC today.

I like the multiholder idea... I might send them in for a reholder once I get them back... in case I get any monster grades on single coins that need to be sold as singles.
