Im purchasing it for $120 off someone I think doesn't know to much about its value because it seems like a bargain so I'm just wondering what it is worth.
Which signature pairing is on the bill? Coyne-Towers or Beattie-Coyne? My 27th Edition Coins of Canada list the C-T at $165 Canadian and the B-C at $175 Canadian. This is for notes in the grade of FINE, the lowest grade for which they post a value for the 1954 $100. If the grade of yours is GOOD then $120 is too much. Face value would be closer.
I think the one with the Devil's head is worth more than $165... The $1000 is worth 3k for a Good Condish.
Yea, in such low condition it wouldn't have THAT much of a premium over face. Wow, where did you get that figure from? In all my books prices for a devils head range from 1,500$ - 2,000 for VG. It doesn't hit the 3K price until "Fine" and even then... Charlton guides are usually very overpriced..
