I managed to have a digital photo of the counter marked Tet and got a sharper and completely better eye of the Macedonian, than the former scan. I also shot another silver Tet of the same series ( Alexandrian and Seleucid ). Here are they. AlexCounter O.JPG AlexCM R Anchor.JPG Seleukos DI O.JPG Seleukos DIL R.JPG

My worn drachm purchased from FAC auctions and reasonably priced vis-a-vis Vcoins....meaning it was much cheaper---$56.00 shipped:

Like the star under the throne. There is another thread running that has Minerva on the throne, how many different varieties are there of these tets with someone else on the throne?

    LOL, noooo.... BA'AL !!!

When my Kids were teenagers YEARS ago, they used to get exasperated with me and say "GAWD, Dad..."
I would say... "No. You can just call me DAD."

Haha...well the heft of that coin and that it a lifetime issue that's not the usual Hercules/seated Zeus is pretty cool.

@Alegandron That is such a super cool and THICK Tet with Ba'al enthroned WOW!!!

@Kentucky I know of Zeus and now Ba'al and of course Athena.....Are there any others enthroned??? Can anyone else answer that???

    TIF Always learning.

There are many other people/deities enthroned. Search CNG's archives with just the word "enthroned". There are a zillion Zeuses, of course, but you'll see others here and there-- Cybele, Parthian archer/kings, Serapis, etc.

Or did you mean just on tetradrachms? Maybe there are fewer if you're just looking at that denomination.

Perhaps a good place to slip this one in. Got it for cheap, but I like it. Not sure what it is,

My first Greek coin. I bought this coin with another lifetime tet, which I sold for a price that covered both of these coins. Thus, I got a lifetime Alexander tet for free!

    Tarsos mint, struck 327-323 BC.

Silly me. I forgot to answer the OP's question (I thought this was an Alex III free-for-all).

I think that coin is definitely worth $60. Try finding one on eBay or Vcoins in worse condition for less.

Well, now that I realize I was thinking the OP was a drachm instead of a TET (missed the millimeters) I have to agree...but I would've held off for one with better surfaces or went after a drachm at the same price and easily a better 'grade'
