Thinking about sending this guy to CAC. I just picked it up again (I used to own it once before) today.
It's a stunning coin, even if it has a few of minor hits at bottom left of the obverse and one on the reverse. I don't know if that would prevent the CAC but I've seen worse with the CAC.
Thanks guys! One of my good customers got tired of his post 1840 large cent collection... I picked it up today. I'm in the process of sorting out which pieces need to go to CAC.
You'd have to be blind in one eye and not see too good out of the other eye to not endorse that one at that grade, Matt. :thumb:
I find this ammusing, when i first started collecting my dealer told me a story about how he bought a 1916 d mercury dime, sold it, bought it back, sold it. Now appearently it is one of the nicest or nicest (i can't remember i think its a 68 maybe 67) 1916 d merc's known. And does getting the CAC sticker actually improve the price you're capable of getting out of them?
I tell my customers that I don't mind buying coins back because I try to put customers with quality coins in their collections... Quality is quality no matter if its the first time I have owned a coin or the fifth... CAC coins do bring premiums... Sometimes significantly...
I generally don't like NGC 66 BN large cents. To me, they generally look overgraded and overpriced. This coin, however, is the exception to the rule. Very nice, Matt.
This was the one we looked at in Tampa... Ricky B had it.... you have seen this one before in hand. Just for kicks I sent it off to CAC...
Matt, Were all of these Rick's? When you get them photographed, please send me copies, if you don't mind. I might pick up a few if they're not already sold. Thanks...Mike
No just this one... Ill be getting pics as time permits... I have central states coming up this next week.
