Foreign Bullion coins coming out very soon

There's already a thread on the RCM Antelope, so we'll leave that alone.

Perth mint will release the lunar 2 series snake the first week in Sept along with the 2013 Kookaburra and 2013 Koala soon after. Then a little bit of a lull until Pamp releases the snake bars and then 2013 coins will be released in a fairly steady stream right up through Feb of 2013. Heck we might even see the 2013 Panda before the end of Feb 2013, who knows?

There is already a presell notification available from an etailer in Florida for the Perth Mint items, no prices or pics as the Perth Mint has an embargo on the pics until very close to the release date.

    Who's in?

Edit to add, if you don't think the prices seem fair on release, it seems that they came down considerably when demand waned because of high prices. Tread lightly if you don't think you're being treated fairly, they make them for a year....

Are ASEs the only thing you people know and talk about?

I have never been so insulted in my life! I am 1 of the least provincial people on this forum. Of course, that's my opinion. I will admit it seems like there are many anti-global coin collectors on this board and I agree to just focus on U. S. Mint products is to live only a partial collecting life, but there are definitely some on this board who enjoy many flavors of coin cuisine.

To answer your original question, I would say no to the snake coins, yes to the kookaburra, maybe to the koala, maybe to the panda, yes to the libertad (if they produce them) and maybe to some special issue coins that might be produced. In general, I haven't given these all that much thought as of yet.

I forgot to say no to the Pamp bars and probably no the the antelope. Although the Wildlife Series is great as a concept, the production execution of the Canadian Mint on these is crappola.

There are two non-USA coins that I really like, and have collected for a long time...the Mexican Libertad (5 ounce proof) and the one ounce Royal Australian Mint Kangaroo At Sunset.

LOL. and if I were you I'd have been insulted as well.

I'm still on the Pronghorn, why not I have a tube of each of the others, so why not get some of the rare Canadian Plains Spotted Pronghorn? They'll go very well with the spotted Gray Wolf, spotted Grizzley, spotted Cougar and the rares of the rare, motled Moose.

I'm very leery of the release pricing of the snake, if it's too much I'll pass and wait until Mar/Apr of 2013 and hope spot cooperates....I'm not going to fall into the same snake pit I did last year, that is for sure...

I am in for most if not all of the 2013 world silver, although I do have some catching up to do for 2012. I am also hoping for the return of the Russia St. George the Victorious. TC

That particular kangaroo coin is my absolute favorite, but I have yet to be able to find one for less than an arm and a leg so I don't have any yet, but if they make more I'll be on it.

This year I plan on the wildlife series, lunar snake, panda, and kookaburra. Koala only if the design is good, but generally I don't like them as much. I recently picked up some Pamp dragon bars for a good deal but otherwise won't be doing that series unless it has either an animal or a design I really like, but the dragon bar is ugly IMO and one reptile bar is enough. Though those bars are serialed which is nice.

I have the 2010 5-ounce Libertad Proof also. It's such a beautiful coin. Also, I have the 2010 Kangaroo at Sunset. In my opinion, the simplicity of its design and the excellence of its production quality make it a truly outstanding coin.

The 1 thing I really like about the fact there are many collectors who can't see beyond U. S. Mint products is it leaves more global coins available for those of us who do like them. It lessens the competition for them.

I agree on the "George". It's an attractive coin and I hope they didn't just produce it for 2 years and then stop.

I collect many World silver Bullion coins. I really like the NZ, Fiji, Canadian, Chinese, German, Mexican, British, Austrian, and Austrialian, to name a few. It's not easy to get them all if they go above 2x SPOT for me.

I don't buy coins with Queen Elizabeth on the back so that rules out a lot of coins. If you dare mention the Moonlight Mint, you will get a horde of people show up here, who never post in the bullion forum about how he counterfeits currency. I like to talk gold coins, but this is primarily a forum for silver buyers.

    So yes, probably so.

I hope I don't ruin the coin for you, but the one thing that jumps out at me when I look at this coin is that the shadow doesn't line up with the sun. It's enough of a distraction for me that I won't buy one...
