I seen one of these in a cointalk thread and was just wondering if anyone can give me some more information on these coins. Most seem to be on either very modern penny's or 60s and 70s penny's. Although i did see another dated 1916 but did not look authentic. Any other examples on different denominations or so forth would also be appreciated. Thank you in advance...

I know nothing about it, but it's pretty cool. Since Masons are notoriously secretive, I doubt that much information will be given about the coin or its origin.

Yes, very nice! Unfortunatly, the stamp can be got for about $75; & with the hike in Masonic piece interest & prices, it may not be truly Masonic in origin, but I like it.

I don't own it i was just seeing what kind of info i could dig up, counter stamped coins can have all sorts of interesting history beyond what may be perceived as valuable. Ohh and this thread is a few months old but enjoy new information just the same.....

The dies for these were made by a retired Philly Mint employee, and he gave me a small handful of Linc's & Roosies.

I have a penny dated 1948, which may have been the year my grandfather joined.

It stinks, after he passed I had an opportunity to obtain his rings, cufflinks, and tie pins, but my aunt grabbed it all before I could.
