CoinCast I did not mean anything about your set like that. It's a great set. I own a set too Just the label's don't matter to me. Some collectors it does but to me it's like MS Statehood Quarter Collectors.
No offense taken. I am just saying its a fun thing have that you don't have to pay more for (that's my favorite part about it). Labels do not matter to me eithier but this label is way better than "first strike".
If that's yours then I meant no disrespect. The label is particular to the one who collects it, and by no means diminishes the collecting endeavor. My take was both caustic and and cynical and if I offended you, I do apologize.......
No offense by anyone haha. I happen to like the label but it really adds nothing to the coins and can understand why people do not care about it.
I figured it was worth mentioning that for the first time since it was released the total number of Ebay listings for "25th anniversary Silver Eagle Set" have dropped below 500 items~ Prices seems to be remaining steady at around $700~ for opened sets and graded 68/69's. Graded sets of 70's going for $1300~ Excellent~
For those that own some to sell, I'd say this is looking like a Floor in the prices. For those that are looking to buy theirs, I'd say get it soon. For those that have their one for their collection, I'd say they don't care either way
So I was looking to sell one of my sets today and decided to look up the pop report not them. NGC has graded 1/3 of all minted. WOW that seems rather high as I'd guess PCGS has too so only @30k sets remain ungraded. Some people did well buying 5 sets on this one but the TPG'ers seemed to turn out the best.
Having trouble locating the two keys raw ungraded. Anyone see these for sale? Also, what's a good price for the reverse proof raw and the (s) marked uncirculated coin. Any help is greatly appreciated. I just hate buying these types of coins in tag holders.
Gee, I think there's a PCGS 69 set for $635 in the classifieds. Pretty good price...use jigsaw with care.
