Now that the Hot Springs P Mint Unc’s are out, some are receiving coins with lines through the word, Hot Springs and others appear to not have these lines. What does your coin look like?

Edit: If anyone has pics of the varieties please post. Thanks

Edit: For those who send their coin off to be graded, please let us know how it grades and if anything is noted about the lines through Hot Springs or any other "abnormalities".

Edit: I'm also interested in hearing opinions on the doubling on the coin in post #14.

Mine is perfect. I'm serious. I've looked it over several times and haven't found anything wrong with it yet.

On mine the "Hot" is fine, but "Springs" has the crease. Shame, because other than that the coin is flawless under 14x mag. Good news is I have one more coming to the GF's house :D

Because they are near a sell out there's a 50-50 chance you would receive someone elses reject in return.

    a. The are several black dots (mold?) inside the container.
    b. The edges of the coin look scraped / dinged. Maybe from banging against the plastic container which does NOT hold the coin snug!

I just got notification that mine shipped today as well. My sister recieved hers today and I asked her about the "Hot Springs line" and she said she saw "something" so I guess hers is one of the bad ones :( Hopefully the one I get is better.

Got one today. Keeping it sealed and sending to PCGS for early/first strike designation.

How does one go about doing that?

I have a similar crease in "Springs", and a raised dot above "Of". More silver that way.

I got mine for chrismas of 2010! I got it in uncirclulated condition in a mint set! I don't have the same line as in post #5.

Egad Taylor101, I can't deal with this. Please tell me it isn't true. I raised one set of children, I don't have the patience anymore. :>(

Interesting doubling. Is that the coin or a reflection or? Some of it looks shelf like, like MD, but there also appears to be separation. Have any clearer close up pics?

  20. Is it possible that this line (or crease) might be some sort of variety??? TC

The numbers are not looking good, huh?

You know what that means...Low numbers anyway, so

Any without issue will be worth a mint!!!
