I went to Penn. This weekend to hunt for morgans at the major farm markets that have coin dealers, and they had almost no coins on display because there were LINES of people at each dealer with paper bags full of jewelry and the dealers were doing all they could do to handel the volume. Haven't seen that in a long time, 79-80. Thought you folks might find this interesting. Steve
Doesn't sound much like a bullion investing topic/activity but it certainly speaks volumes about what's going on in this economy, the media and it may be an indicator of a correction in PM markets to come once all these metals flood in and demand slows/consumers are out of cash. Seems we can recall scenes about similar lines with every Dick and Jane cashing in whatever they had when metals rose to their all time highs in late 70s-early 80s. I just hope with greater media prescience in this era that it's not fear driven by cash-for-gold types or by screaming showmen-journalists. I always worry that folks are loosing heirloom pieces in these sales, and that the hobby is loosing nice coins to the melt... but that's only wishful thinking. Thanks for the report.
