    Welcome to Coin Talk! :D
A pic would be nice to grade it, it would probably be $5-$10 depending on condition. The bank of upper canada is now ontario. It issued these copper tokens from 1850-1857. There were 3 million of these minted in 1857.

Thank you for your timely reply, your information has been most helpful. I will attempt to get some pics and post them. My years of picking up pennys I finally found something COOL.

    Thanks again,

Did you find anything out about this coin? We found one earlier this year as well?

    Good Day Scott,
I did receive some info from the curator of the "Canadian museum of money" is probably the best way to put it. The best I can recall is they were minted btwn 1850-1858. 3,000,000 in 1857 the year of my coin. The bank of upper Canada is now known as Toronto. Depending on the condition of the coin, one person told me 5-10 dollars, another told me a substancial amount to the right collector.
I found mine just laying in the dirt, thought it was a Kennedy half dollar at first. 200yrds from a small river used by fur traders way back in the day.
    I hope this helps you.

Thanks for the reply JJ88, We found ours in a load of gravel that it eventually surfaced from in our driveway so it is hard to say how it traveled. I think at this stage I will add it to our collection of old coins that I hope to some day go through and see if there are any real valuable ones.

Hey I've got one of those! I'm not sure of the date off the top of my head. I will look when I get home and try to scan it if possible. I haven't been able to find anything on it and your infor is more than I could find; but let me tell you this.

My coin was stolen from my house and the stupid crook took this coin and all my other wierd foreign coin stuff to a bank in Mass. to cash it in for US currency. They put his picture, name and a description of the coins on the wire and luckily, i mentioned this coin specifically in my missing items... guess what?! they arrested him, matched his prints AND I got my coins back plus some others the cops got along with them that weren't even part of my collection, but they couldn't identify as to who the proper owner is. SO, keep a list of what you have away from your coins. It may help!

I love the part that this jerk got caught because of a half penny!

HERE IT IS>> This is my half penny. Any body want to take a gander at its worth? Or if you were looking for this what would you pay? Ballpark. Also, how do you grade something like this?
