1854 Half Penny Bank of Upper Canada Token

    I looked at about 50 of these today and finally found one that was close to the grade of the One Penny Token I got earlier this month:

    That is nice. What was it used for exactly? And are those die cracks around TOKEN and B of BANK?

    Yes, it's a nice die crack right down to the crown.

    hi i must posted about this token but differne t year, i was unaware that the post you had was here. i have one not as good shape as the one you have its a 1 penny 1850.. from what i reads they wee only out in a certain number of years, thinking 1850 was the first year issued.. could i be right
