Happy Saturday! I have been trying to identify this hammered coin and keep coming close, but empty. The back is worn smooth. What's up with the backwards seven? For size reference, it is in a Penny flip. Thanks!
I think I have one with a similar shield pattern. Can't remember if it was one of the German states or what. The shield has enough info to ID it just on that. Looks like some kind of a big cat rampant and a stripe on the left and an eagle (probably) on the right with a crown above. The design looks very familiar. Can you measure the approximate diameter from the intact part? Looks 1700s, as you'd expect even with the weird backwards 7 in the date.
I think the coat of arms reminded me of Austria/Hall. It's not that close, though. Austria 3 Kreuzer 1682 Leopold I Hall I'd also look at the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
Hi. i believe you have a coin from the Archbishopric of Salzburg Leonhard Von Keutschach 1495-1519 The coin is dated 1514 . A mitre would be above the arms and the coin is uniface.
