Being an old poot living on SSI, my coin collecting purchases are rather limited in value, but I still enjoy collecting coins. I just purchased this certified 1999-S Jefferson PRF69 DCAM on ebay for $5.75 shipped. Was that a pretty average price for these. I usually just buy what appeals to me, mostly silver, but this one caught my eye. What ya think?

I figure you are at least $25.00 to the good. Somebody spent some cash slabbing that pretty Jefferson. I think you deserve it.

Yep, I figured the PCGS certification was worth the $5.75. I have never had a worthy coin to certify so I don't know what he paid to have it done.

I meant to put LOL after the question but forgot. Heck, I am lucky to find my computer most of the time.

I think you did fine with this. Probably won't go up in value really very quickly, but a nice coin to have if you like the Jeffies.

Bulk submitters pay a lot less for per coin slabbing. Plus with the cost of proof sets they're making money on the 70s

Really, how much enjoyment can be had today for under $6? If you like it and will experience even momentary enjoyment from owning it, I'd say it fine buy.
