Besides the wonderfully-detailed medals shown here, I find toned coins to be extremely photogenic. For Lincoln Cents, there are a number of interesting types and color patterns of toning. Some of my favorites are so-called "shellcase" toning, resulting supposedly due to trace levels of gunpowder left after recycling spent artillery shell cases from WW2.
