I am a big Ben Franklin fanatic so this contest for younger members and the qeustions will be about Ben's life. Each person can try one question The winners will recieve a mercury dime or two. The first question is: what was the name of the ficticious middle aged woman that Franklin used when he secretly submitted letters to his brothers newspaper, the New England Current? Question two: Name two inventions that Franklin came up with that he did not pattent, and why did he not want them pattented? Third question: What was the name of the club Ben founded in 1727 for the mutual and social improvement of it's members, also called the leather apron club? BONUS QUESTION: for anybody that answers one of the above correctly can answer this one for an extra dime. what was special about Ben Franklin's appearence on the franklin half dollar series? I have dimes for the first three people to answer one of the above questions plus the bonus for the first to answer the extra question also. The first questions answer is Mrs.Silence Dogood and the bonus answer is a bill was rushed through Congress after the assassination of John F. Kennedy and caused the Franklin half to be replaced by the current Kennedy half dollar in February 1964, nine years before the design would otherwise have been eligible for a change. Steve
