You vs NGC 1864 2 Cent warning rather large pictures

Want to see how you stack up against NGC?
I failed miserably I was of by 1 pt and got the colour wrong.
(I still think I was corrrect and NGC over graded)

I still do not have the hang of taking pictures through slabs. lets face it I still have a lot to learn about photography in general.

Anyway for your grading pleasure.
I just had to have this one simply for the REV.
Feel free to assign a grade and value..

WoW!! What a nice coin!! The front is almost red but the back is red/brown so I'm going to guess they graded it red/brown. I can't see any dings or scratches. I'm assuming the lask of denticles on the top obverse is from the way the picture was taken in the slab. Love the die cracks on the reverse. This isn't a series I have studied greatly so this is just a guess.

My guess for NGC would be:

MS64RB

Hard to grade pictures. In hand it may grade different.

 

My stab would be 66 BN.

I think NGC graded it MS 65 or 66 RD, although it should be RB. Am I right?

 

I think NGC said MS64RB.

Struck from worn dies. Obv die possibly lapped, thus explaining the weak "IN GOD"; "WE" is a little weak as well. A weak strike would also explain it.

Can't go any higher than 64; too much detail lacking in motto and leaves.

I think it is a 66rb, but ngc graded it 65rb.

 

1864 Large Motto MS-65 RB

 

I'm not going to change my grade...but I have a feeling that NGC graded this coin RD. Based on the pics, I'm going to say it's a MS-66RB still...but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that they graded the color RD.

 

NGC called it a 65RB I don't think there is enough colour to make RB. there are also a few dings and a general weakness that would stop me from going higher than 64.
