    ILL ASK MY WIFE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT TONIGHT.I FOUND A1980 D LINCON PENNY THAT HAS A STAMP OF J F K FACING HIM , CLEAR DETAIL. THE BACK IS ROUGH BUT THE FRONT IS PERFECT. HOW DID THEY STAMP IT LIKE THAT? Maybe they had a die mixed up?:eek:dd:

    Those are done after the coin was minted by a private company. I have seen sets with JFK and the states and a number of other things stamped into the coin. It is considered damage to the coin by coin collectors and makes the coin worth face value. But, it might have more value to someone who collects presidential memorabilia. Plus, they are kind of cool.
