Lincoln’s head and shoulder is compressed through the reverse side. Also the obverse looks like a wave pool from the reverse. Any input is appreciated!
I can't see it from your photos but if it's there, here's what it's called: http://www.error-ref.com/progressive-indirect-design-transfer/
Absolutely! That’s exactly what’s going on with the coin. Lighting was bad, apologies. Phone isn’t the best with no sunlight. Thank you!
Is this a common issue for a 1930 penny? Progressive indirect Design transfer error? Edge on this makes it much less attractive penny for sure
Interesting. Meow would be just thrilled to find a 1930 penny CRH anomalies or not. Did find a 1935 last week.
Meow only puts hunted pennies in the book or tubes. It is ingrained in all Cats to stalk, Meow just stalks BUs and Errors.
Your coin looks like it was pressed into a Lucky Coin Holder which has distorted the surface and the edge of the coin. They are called encased cents. https://www.google.com/search?q=enc...nuAKHX1UD04Q_AUIEygC&biw=1920&bih=937#imgrc=_
I agree.. That Cent is damaged And for the previous comments about indirect image transfer.. I'm not seeing it!
@paddyman98 Not trying to start an argument over this. All I said was that I can't see it but if it's there it's called a Indirect Design Transfer. Obviously he doesn't have a Indirect Design Transfer because it's not there. I even provided a link for the OP to check it out.
