Today I received several beautiful Franklin Half Dollars from QUEENKOIN to help me get a good start on a Franklin collection. I have received information, assistance, and coins from several members of the former CW forum, and now Coin Talk. I continue to be amazed by the thoughtfulness and generosity of the people associated with this forum. I only hope I can do the same sort of thing to help other collectors. My sincere thanks to you all.
Another helpful member We have to continue to recognize the many wonderful things so many members of this forum do for each other. sometime we get a little silly and sometimes a little sarcastic- but mostly we help each other To each of you Thank You As for me as a collector of Australian coins "I'm beyond help"
I'm still waiting by the mailbox GD for that Rose Noble. Is that a flock of seagulls over me..... Actually, QueenKoin brings a smile to my face everytime I see her avatar. As far as Franklin half dollars go, I don't collect them but I have a few for he is one of my favorite characters in history and the coin is one of my favorite silver coins period. And oh yes, there are some very decent people on this site.
All I need are 1952-S, 1953, 1953-S, and 1954-S -- seriously. Grade should be what passes for BU on eBay, or better. (Wish I could figure out how to put those smilies in, 'cause I need them here.) Onlysdad
For the group which includes these standard smilies that appear in a box to the left of the reply box, just click on the smiley when you want to add it. For others, so long as they are hosted somewhere on the internet - not just on your own computer - and the URL ends with one of these extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip, like this one: just post the URL as an image, either using the yellow box picture above the reply box, or by putting "" around the URL, without the quotation marks. (The forum software imposes a 10-image maximum on any one posting.)
