Yes, he bought another one. Actually the last five coins I bought were Falling Horsemen. This is a FH2 of the subtype where the 'sitting' barbarian is struggling to his feet. If I were writing a book on the subject I would split FH1 and FH2 into two halves each but I'm not in any way ready to challenge the traditional guys. The mintmark is PAR.F or Arles, 1st officina. This is my third F coin (the other two from Rome) and I still do not understand the reason for the F. The obverse die has a distinctive die bread on the head but I have not seen enough of these to know even approximately how many dies were used. I have a coin show in two weeks so maybe I'll buy something that is not a horseman. Show dealers don't like common coins so I'm unlikely to find one I want.
That is one of the more interesting FH coins you've posted Doug. I also like the one you posted several months ago where the detail of the soldiers sandals was amazing. I've been looking ever since to find something like it.
