so,i am stuck i love the seated liberty series. i want to do a 1873 year set because it is all seated liberty. but this is where i am stuck should i just do that year or the whole set. mind you i do not have very much money on hand. i would be trading in other coins to get better coins. the years i was looking at doing are 1873 because of all the seated liberty.1877 because i already have a quarter from that year. 1891 because i already have a seated dime (dimes are my weak spot).1912 because i have a 1912 s dime that i found and a 1912 large British penny (that cost me $.50). last but not least 1929 because i have 2 1929 quarters. so should i do all the years that i have said above or should i do a type set or just a few specific years. all the coins that i will buy are circulated i like the look of circulated coins.
yea i had estimated prices for the 1873 at $21,370 and 1912 at $1432.50 1877 at $2392 are those prices way off?
I'm not sure how you came up with that price for the 1873 set unless you are including the two cent and three cent silver both of which are proof only issues. Other than that, only the no arrows open 3 half is pretty pricey, but a standard 1873 half is plenty reasonable.
Depends upon grade of course! On the 1873's do you plan on doing all the CC's, open 3 and closed 3? if so then yes your way off
on the 1873 i just did the basic stuff like just the different mm and the different coins and no 2 or 3 cent pieces but some of the CC stuff was like 3 grand for poor condition. grade i was thinking like just a good - VG+.
