Hi everyone, I see lots of posts with people sharing their coins of 2015, which I am really enjoying. My introductory thread was pretty much my year in review. My brother also collects ancient coins and, as he doesn't do forums, I'd like to share his favourite coins of the year. I think he had a pretty good year. One more of my favourite coins of this year was this hemidrachm. I am a reptile lover and have four lizards, so getting this coin was a must for me. Thanks so much for looking! Erin

Thanks everybody! I've tried to encourage my brother to get involved in forums because they're great to meet new people from all over and learn new things. But, he keeps a very low profile, no Facebook or anything and he prefers to keep it that way. However, he does shop online. I'll keep up a profile for him! This is probably the only year that he and I will be fortunate to acquire such coins. He's finally going to college next year. So, he's saving up for that. For me, I had the unusual good fortune of getting a good income tax return. I don't think he has an exact favourite, he likes all of them. But, I think a slight edge goes to the electrum coin and the Athens owl because of it's toning. His 1/96th stater is tiny (with the rosette pattern) is tiny, only 4 mm. I'm completely jealous. Erin

Ouch! Thanks for the link, Doug. I got mine from London Ancient Coins on Vcoins, so I think I'm safe. But, it's horrible to see that people profit by selling these fakes. I bought my first ancients on eBay, a couple of widow's mites. I came across Vcoins one day and have since built up a decent wish list that I hope to work though, albeit very slowly. There are a few eBay dealers that I would buy from because I've read good comments about them in forums. My brother uses Vcoins. I think we've both been pretty safe, which we are grateful for. Erin
