XRF (xray fluorescence) analysis of coins in slabs?

    Anyone know if portable XRF (xray fluorescence) units can analyze a coin in a slab. I imagine large bench units have the range, but what about the little ones?

    Yes they can. A friend of mine that I set up at long beach with uses one all the time at shows for PMs and slabbed coins
