What's on the other side? Anything? It's really hard to say. I'm not even sure we're dealing with a coin, here. Could be some kind of token, counter, game piece, or weight. But it does look pretty old.
That only proves that somebody else thought it was a coin also. Generally, a coin will have a denomination and/or a legend indicating it's origin.
Not necessarily when you're holding it in your it's not plastic or any other type of resin it's just a tad bit smaller than a dime
And it doesn't have holes in it like a Buttonwood not that much weight for a game piece and not that much weight for a weight
I don't know what it is, and I'm not trying to speculate. It's definitely weird and interesting. I can only tell you that this forum has a broad range of different collecting interests. If it fell into the coin category, somebody most likely would have identified it already. I'm not necessarily saying this isn't some sort of primitive token- it just seems unlikely. You may want to try asking a more general interest forum, such as this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatisthisthing/
