Hello, About 4 years ago, I acquired a copy of Penny Whimsey from a semi-famous numismatic writer named Craig Sholley. If you google "Craig Sholley numismatics", you'll find many of his articles that he published on the subject of early US Large Cents. I purchased this book from him (which he kindly even signed for me) in the hopes I could study the varieties, and become able to identify the different Sheldon types. Sadly, though I still love Large Cents (and will always collect them), I am not very good at identifying varieties. I have decided that it's best I let this book go on to someone that may better appreciate not only its contents, but the lineage as well. I spoke with Tom Deck about this book, and he told me that "This is the 1976 Quarterman edition, which is one of the good ones.". This book does not have a slip cover on it (did not come with one). I would LOVE to just trade this for some coins. I don't have a Paypal account or anything like that, so a fair trade would work best for me. I paid Craig $20.00 four years ago for this book. I'd be willing to trade for a coin or coins of equal value that interest me.
