Sure it's a pretty coin and all lol... but how much enjoyment can you get out of owning something you'd only be albe to look at it in the bank every so often? Certaintly not going to keep it in my apartment where I'd have to worry about fire and theft all the time lol...

Heck, there's lots of pretty coins out there. If I owned this thing I'd wait for it to worth say, twice what I bought it for, sell it, and use the profit to buy lots of nice coins instead of just hanging on to the one. Even if I had the kind of money necessary to own something like this I'd still see my enjoyment per dollar maximized by owning several very nice, but not so rare, coins than a handful of extreme rarities. Buying a coin and having it sit in the bank is no fun lol no matter how good an investment it is.

That being said I'd love to be able to look at this closely at least once lol but it would be no fun owning the thing. Unless I was so rich I could afford the massive security to go with it maybe and can buy any coin I wanted without worrying about the cost lol...

I wonder if Bill Gates collects coins? He should lol...

...in my first little coin book, from 1960, the 1895 P is priced at $650 in proof.

I wouldnt mind owning it....but truthfully if it was that, or an original CSA cent.....Id take the cent.

Yup, good coins go in the bank deposit box...but their image....they stay on the computer. A great coin like this, might even make desktop image!

I wonder if you sent it in for regrade....would Mr. Hall upgrade it :smile
