    I agree that the programming is pretty neat. I love the zoom and pan. The high resolution imaging is marvelous.

    The coin is unusual. You don't see that many of these in Uncirculated condition. If you appreciate the long and painful effort of the U.S. Mint to get above incompetence and beyond mediocrity, then a coin like this makes a nice milestone. In Mint State, it is easy to see why people of the time excoriated the government for this "wild woman" coin.

    When you consider the Birch Cent, the Wyon coins, and the many other issues of the time -- coins of marked artistic accomplishment -- all much better than this harpy, you have to look at this coin as a reflection of how hard it was to organize a government Mint from scratch, and give it its due on that excuse alone.
