Wow what a difference....

    What a difference between the two Barber Dimes I'm posting. One had a nice life - apparently lightly handled (although obviously cleaned at some point), and the other lead a life of heavy use. Would be neat to know whose hands these coins passed through.

    I think the first one probably had an altered surface at one point. Maybe a bit of shellac which has worn off over time.
