I found a star note fifty the other day while I was buying halves. I must say that I had a hard time trying to figure out if I should keep it or not. It had some wear and looked like it had been creased but sine it was a new fifty it was still in pretty good shape.

Ultimately though the silver at the bank drew more intrest from me so I spent it.

If you were in the same or similar situation would you have kept it?

I'll take the silver over the note anyday....

I chose no, with exceptions. If the note had a very low serial number, I would probably be much more inclined to keep it. If not, silver, baby, here I come!

if the $50 star was crisp new, i'd definitely keep it. since it was circulated and had a fold, i voted silver.
