I'd expect a stronger overall impression of the stars toward the top. Also, if it were MS, I'd expect the hair strands below LIBERTY to be more detailed as well as the apex of the "crown" to be sharper. Finally the hair in the bun and atop the head are weak. I say mid AU?
I would put it in the low AU or even high EF range with the wear above LIBERTY, on the hair and on the stars.
I always understood AU58 to mean a coin that appears as a MS63 after a fast glance but would show rubs on high points with a slower, closer look. But who knows what it means today.
Yeah, the 20 indicates VF, as EF (otherwise written as XF) can be a 40 or 45. So, which is it? VF or EF? Someone else wrote MS50. Mint State (MS) goes from 60 to 70. The 50 would indicate AU. Again, so which is it?
I am guessing the kind where it's not worth being serious until the necessary information is provided.
AU-50. I might be temped to net it at XF for the surfaces being rough and dark. Very nice, clear, focused picture though.
