would you call this a Lam. error?

Looking through some stashed coins and spotted this. It looks like a lamination error and maybe a RPM. What do you see?

No, unless your pointer is in the wrong place.

The lamination is (or appears to be) behind the 3.

Also, POSSIBLY, beneath the 5. [could be postmint damage, but hard to tell.]

And, it doesn't appear to be an RPM.

I agree! Also, in this case RPM stands for "Really Pounded Mintmark" (as in beaten up).

I've got to get rid of that pointer in the microscope. Cleaned it up a little and another angle.

I think the 53 looks like (1953D-1mm-018) Not sure about the 52 though

And I think the 52D is (1952D-1MM-025) It has the same split serif on the bottom and that variety indicates it was damaged by a mintmark punch. May be you should check out the die markers to confirm.

OK, thanks all. I just checked out the '52 and it's a -019 markers match, thanks jessash1976 for looking at those, it's always a pain to find the right one. The '53, the mint mark is the wrong location for -018. Looks like the lamination error on that one.
Forgot to ad that the die chip is not in the photo at coppercoins. Later die state.
