Anyone know if this is a error? Looks like it to me...??? If it is an error...... whats it worth? Thanks....cho cho
ok..so I go to the bank and get a box of coins... so far I found a 1919 and a 1939 and this one...which I thought was something.. what should I be looking for? what dates and errors are worth looking for?
Thanks I went to Searching for Errors and read it.. I know about those...and look for them..the double ear...I don't think I would see... I can't see it when im looking at it in the book.. I have the Red Book... but find so many things not in it... like I found a 1986 double die.. the 986, and it's easy to see... But I haven't read about it. yet I have the jewelers loupe and will get "The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties" Thanks very much... cho cho
Yes, a little. Hard to tell from the pictures, the close up gets too pixelated. My first guess is mechanical doubling, but again, hard to tell without the coin in hand. Once you get the cherry pickers guide, compare it to the 70's double dies and see what you come up with. A filled number on a double die would be something different and cool
