well, you're in a spot here... when you purchased the coins, you purchased something you didn't know the value of - nor if they are authentic. A couple of these give me reason to think that may be a problem, but it might not be - it's hard to tell from an image. That's fine - not recommended - but fine.

The problem is going to be selling them on ebay. If you don't know what they are worth, how can you be sure you are selling them at a fair price, or that you are selling authentic coins to another buyer, who only has the images to work on?

If you want to sell these coins over the internet, I would highly recommend you take them to a local coin dealer, who can at least see them in hand, and tell you if there are any signs of being fake. I mean, right now, for all you know, these could have been pulled out of a book of reproductions, and made to be someone's desk decoration, or handed out at parties or a convention of some sort, before they ended up in your friend's father's possession.

They may, but if it were to turn out that your pieces are replicas, counterfeits, or otherwise not what they appear to be, you could find yourself being publicly accused of fraud when all you would really be guilty of is lack of knowledge. :(

Also, the quality of your pictures just isn't good enough to truly tell potential buyers what they are bidding on. With over 300 coin transactions on EBay, I can assure you that poor pictures bring poor prices.

All of those pictures were taken off of eBay as evidenced by the eBay photo logo in the corner, so when were those pics on eBay? Is that where you bought them, or have you already tried to sell them? Or are you just considering them and just wanted our opinions?
