This year I will be going to Ukraine during the summer and bringing my metal detection equipment with me. I have friends there who have found Soviet Union Coins, Pre-1917 Russian Empire Coins, Austria-Hungarian, even Roman i believe and old Polish. That is because the section where Im from, all these nations used to control the land. Looking forward as my mom did say she burried coins back during her childhood on the property where our family back there lives. So I was wondering what the value for these coins are if anybody knows. They seem to be cheap in Ukraine but i figure thats only because they arent THAT hard to find. But maybe worth a little more to collectors here in the U.S because its not easy to get for them. Who knows. I dont. Thats why im here. But if they are cheap it doesnt matter to me. To find an old coin from the 1800s is all I want :)

You can get Russian wire coins from Mikhail I, Ivan The Terrible, and Peter The Great for less than $10 USD each. Sometimes a lot less.

However, the coins are very tiny.
