Worn 1943 s copper penny

    My grandfather, an avid collector, gave me a penny collection in 1963. In it is a worn 1943 s copper penny. What should I do with this coin in this condition.

    Looks more like a worn 8 to me. Highly doubt it is a legit copper 43.

    looks like an 8 to me as well, but if you believe it to be a '43, then send it to a grading service for verification..

    I am at 1947.
    The 3 in the 1943 doesn't remotely look like yours at all.
    You coin has been harshly cleaned and is worth .01 cent.

    I think it is safe to say that the 4th digit is anything but a 3.

    Thanks I could not really tell. The 3 doesn't look right. I see the tail on the three does not extend long enough. It is pretty cool though.
