This one could interest me. I hope the winning design is good and not a bunch of fluff.

That's cool. I'm sure many collectors here had a grandfather (such as me) or great-grandfather who fought in World War I.

Unfortunately all the WWI veterans are gone now, I believe the last passed away ca. 2010-2011. My paternal grandfather got called up into the Army in Sept 1918 and made it as far as some camp in New York State and then the war ended. We still have his uniform and Gideons Bible from his service.

It is about time WW1 stopped being ignored.

    Hopefully it's a great design.

Regardless, I'm in for at least one. Maybe two -- proof and uncirculated.

BTW, is it too soon to begin considering a 150th Civil War commemorative coin? Maybe a series of medals too?

Judging by today's premiums for Civil War era coins, I'd expect a modern series would be successful (profitable) AND collectible.

Well considering the 150th anniversary is already over....I'd say it's too late.

Oops. My bad. Well, maybe we'll get something for the 200th.

I would be they will do one, but yes it is definitely too early to be considering that lol
