I have only a few photographed from the 1980s. Brasil 50 Cruzeiros 1982 Japan 1985 500 Yen Tsukuba Expo Commemorative Egypt 5 pounds Proof 1985 (This is actually my daughter's, as she's more into shiny, proof-type coins than I am. I like well-circulated old stuff mostly.) Azores 100 Escudos 1986 Jamaica 1987 50 cents (Decagon) Japan 1988 500 Yen Seikan Tunnel Commemorative Japan 1990 500 Yen Heisei Enthronement Commemorative Poland 1990 Telephone Token
Here are a couple of Soviet summer Olympics 10 rubles, 1980. Judo (actually, this is a good illustration of one way to resolve a disagreement on a coin's grade) Basketball And one 5 rubles: Sling shot
Just a few coins. Japan 1992 500 Yen Okinawa Return 20th Anniversary Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic 1992 Portugal 1993 200 Escudos Nanban Art Uzbekistan 1994
My only coin from this decade, but one of the most beautiful modern world commemoratives in my eyes. Italy, 1992R, L.500 Flora and fauna of Italy silver coin.
I hardly have anything from this decade, but here are a couple. Malaysia 2001 50 Sen cop Congo 2002 50 centimes
I will just share this one. I don't collect much modern but this one spoke to me and it is kind of impressive, in my opinion.
I actually have several. 2022, 1/4 sovereign, one year reverse for the diamond jubilee 2017, Cook Islands 2017, Laos, 500 Kip Switzerland, 50 Francs, Glarus shooting festival
I forgot this beauty from Latvia. A 5 euro coin shaped and colorized to mimic the famous Baltars porcelain workshop that existed from 1924-1930.
The end of a wonderful thread. The coins shown throughout have been a joy to behold, often being the first I have seen, and I have enjoyed seeing every one of them. Thank you, all.
