I just recieved the first of many issues of World coin news. part of the krause publishing group. I love the information inside it, but im just wondering if many other people get this and if so, is there anything I should pay attention to (good dealers, bad dealers, inflated prices, incomplete stories) that kind of stuff.
I've seen a few issues, and been thinking about subscribing, but haven't taken the big step yet. So far as I know, the dealer ads are about as close to a gray sheet for world coins as there is. They are often the only place you can find pricing for many issues, and at least regarding such popular coinage as British pre-decimal, you can frequently find multiple ads for the same coins.
I subscibe to it, I have recieved 2 issues so far. I like it alot. I am new to world, but I don't think the prices are out of line. There are quite a few reputable world dealers out there. JMO Tony
I'm a charter subscriber and I've always liked it mainly for the reporting of new issues although the historical articles are good too.
I have read the Coin News that is published by Token Publishing in England. You can reach them here; www.tokenpublishing.com .The articles are generally very good reading.
