    Hello,
I have recently saw lots of threads on wood colored US coins, are they worth anything (i have 2 indian head cents like that)?

They are called Wood Grains or "woodies" and occur on coins with copper in them. I have only ever seen them on cents, but there are some cases where it may happen on a nickel. From what I understand it caused by an improper alloy mixment. I personally find them attractive in UC condition, but do not care for lesser grade ones. They do not bring a premium except to a woodie collector. The biggest woody collector here I beleive to be Rlms cents, or Richard.

It's nice:thumb: Probably a high VF, I could see it going for a $.50-$1 premium.

And at least 90% of them go at a discount, but I still like them.
