Well, this has been 'bothering' me since I saw the end of the auction. When I say bothering me, I mean in a good way. I just received this Elagabalus sestertius today. I posted it earlier in my happiness of getting the coin. But I have been thinking about my good fortune of stumbling across this coin. I just happened to be surfing the closed auction and looking at the unsolds. This coin was there for 100 euros, the opening bid. I couldn't believe no one bid on it. I had been looking for an Elagabalus sestertius for a long time but all the ones I saw were cost prohibitive. So I jumped at the opportunity. I believe my good fortune and just being lucky. I guess the morale of the story concerning auctions is that you just never know what will happen.
