I'm going to give away one of the duplicate ancient coins I picked up this weekend! The contest: This is one of the bags of my metal detecting clad coins from last year's hunting. There are no pennies in it, just nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies and twoonies (one dollar and two dollar coins)- a mix of Canadian and U.S.. The total weight is 4.1875 lbs or 67 oz.. The winner is the one who guesses closest to the dollar amount without going over. If the winner hits it exactly I will add a bonus prize. The contest will run until Sunday Oct. 31, 2010 6pm (my time - CDT). The contest is open to members with 25 posts or more. One (1) guess per member! The prize is a 1/2 Centenionalis (AE3) of Constantius II (337-361 AD) with the Fallen Horseman image on the reverse. Bonus prize: If someone guesses the exact $ amount, I will add a 1937 Canadian $10 in VF condition. The prize: Bonus Prize:
Maybe he wanted a double-double USA and Canuck price since the bag is mixed up with both countries coins...? Hmm.. are we using a currency converter and forex charts to get the values right at the end of the auction too since they constantly fluctuate, like them shivermetimbers cold blasts of Canadian wind we get hit by down here now and then come winter?
