I picked up a couple of rolls of beautifully toned 1957P Jefferson Nickels at a coin show last weekend. Decided to have a contest and share some of these beauties. Here is the contest: Go here http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=935159 look at this nickel. It is TPG graded. Guess the grade and TPG service. The contest will end 2/3/2008 or after the 1st 10 correct guesses. Good Luck
Okay - I am going to be first to respond. Based on the wear on Monticello's center columns, the steps worn flat, wear in the hair and small dings on Jefferson - I'm going to guess: MS63 By PCGS Luster looks great and a very appealing coin! The shadows do make it hard to see some of the detail so I could be way off (Shadows or no shadows )... Thanks for the contest! Darryl
I decided to change the contest end date to 2/3/2008. The 10th just seemed like a long time. Again good luck to all.
Hey Nickelman, maybe Im way off here but Ive gotta go with AU-55, PCGS Unless its a really weak strike, looks like a good amount of wear on that coin there. Jim
I agree looks like a lot of wear from the pics... but does a lot of wear even qualify for "almost uncirculated"? I'm voting ANACS XF-40
