Will this 1802 Lg Cent go G8?

    What do you think? I paid $20 at a flea market in 2000.

    Since its over 200 years old it might get G8...I would go G4 for the front...I can't decide if the back would go G4 or AG....its hard...I have the same problem with LG cents and that is why I don't collect many of them...I think they are hard to grade.

    It might have a shot at VG-08. The Greysheet has it at $25.00 in AG, $45.00 in G, and $65.00 in VG. It sounds like you got a good deal.

    The legends can be weak but must be completely visible for a G8. So I gotta say G4 based on that. But the coin is also corroded - so I'd say you paid about the right amount.
