Will It Be Highly Sought, an Oddity or a Shrug?

A few weeks before Queen Elizabeth died, bullion dealers started offering the second of the British Tudor Beasts issued from the Royal Mint of England - namely the Yale of Beaufort bullion coins.

The interesting thing about this issue, is that they are dated 2023 and have a reverse of Queen Elizabeth.

Here they are at JM Bullion:

Do you think this will be a highly sought after coin, a simple oddity, or that it will just be a shrug and nobody will care that a coin minted for a year after the queen's death will have her portrait on the reverse?

Its common for a lot of foreign countries to make next years coins early but is a bit weird to be this early. That series was very popular early on and then lost steam. Theres also going to be a ton of those and I wouldnt get one just banking off of that

Given her death I would think so but you just never know.

I say a shrug. Not really a coin is it? How long will it take, before mints stop making QEII Memorial pieces?

More like how fast will they start making memorial pieces. Haven’t they all been coins for circulation? Or sets, like proof?

Anybodies guess, I heard there is going to be a two year transition period before
King Charles starts being featured on coins, so not sure if that will end in 23.
