Hi all, I have a coin from Israel which I'm trying to value, but i can't find any information on the net about it at all ! All i know about it is that it was given to a banking CEO freind of my father decades ago, who recieved it from the Israeli Government commemorating the Foundation of the State of Israel. Apparently they printed as many coins as they could make boxes out of a single olive tree. It has a tiny print no. 375 on it. The lettering on the reverse side is 'peace' in all the languages of the countries that recieved the coin. On the box the gold symbol says 'Olive Wood from Jerusalem .. Oranje Munt Den Haag - Holland' See attached pics... any help would be great!! Pepijn
Howdy pythsse - Welcome to the Forum !! It's not a coin but a medal. While I have no idea of the value it is quite interesting, especially with the original presentation box. We do have a new member who collects Israeli coins - perhaps he can offer some info once he sees your post.
Thanks Thanks for the help, Hopefully someone can somehow recognise it. It's a tricky one that's for sure! Pepijn
