Should the 1998 Proof Set Lincoln penny have a wide AM? Mine does, i assume its supposed to be this way, just wanted to make sure.

it's my understanding that the wide AM is supposed to be on the proofs. the wide AM on the circulated cents are from a die that is meant only for proofs of 98 and is considered a mistake from the mint when the wide AM shows up on circulated coins.

Correct, all of the proof cents after 1993 are supposed to have the wide AM. The 1993's have close AM, and the pre 93's have wide AM. There are some post 1993 proof cents that have close AM's. (I believe 1998 is one of those years.)
